What’s not on the radio!

As an instrumental music fan it is quite frustrating to find it so difficult to locate a radio station that devotes any proportionate amount of time to my kind of music. By trawling across the waves there is commercial station after commercial station with the odd sport channel or topical debate but the closest thing to instrumental music is classic fm or the BBC classical offering. The BBC even offer an Asian network before catering for the needs of people that are interested in instrumental music or even people that are interested in any other niche music, however this shouldn’t surprise anybody in modern day Britain. Why should people like myself and other instrumental music lovers be penalised by having to go out and buy music that we like when most of the country get a free feed of theirs by turning on the radio?

Lee’s Part Time Job

My fiance Lee plays the guitar. He has a day job so he just plays on the side. It is more of a hobby then anything else. Lee and I were talking about getting a boat this summer. I am going to get a part time job and Lee is going to teach guitar lessons in melbourne. Between the two of us we should be able to save for a nice used boat or at least a good down payment on one. I am excited for Lee he is a great guitar player and this way he can do what he loves and get paid.

The Best Guitar Teacher on the Planet

Maybe I am going a little far to say that the instructor who created my guitar lesson dvd is the best on the planet, but I gotta say after trying to learn from a friend and two different private teachers his technique, style and explanations are heads and tails above everyone else.

He obviously took his time planning out the lessons for each video because it’s all very well explained and easy to understand. The only think I regret about learning guitar from videos is that I didn’t try it right from the start. I could have saved a few bucks and some frustrations compared to the private lessons I took during that time.

Going to the Movies

We are going to go to the movies tomorrow. We want to take our daughter to see something in 3D.  I think we will end up at Toy Story 3. She has never seen a 3D movie before and I think it will be really exciting for her. It is awesome watching the pictures feel like they are coming at you. She should have a great time. She has no idea we are seeing it in 3D, so she will be so excited when they hand her the glasses and she figures it out. I can’t wait to see her smile.

We Need to Choose Between Dish Network and Direct TV for Our New Home

We are almost ready to move into our new home. There are only a few more details to consider. My husband and I have been trying to decide between dish network and direct tv, but so far we haven’t come to an agreement. I think that I like dish network, but my husband says that he prefers direct tv. He thinks that we will get better service. I think that I’ll get more channels, and I really want to get all my favorite TV shows, especially the home decorating and the food channel. I guess we’ll have to come to some agreement pretty soon. I can’t imagine a new home and no TV service.
