Is Milk A Reason For Acne?

February 20th, 2010 by admin

This is one query which many acne sufferers am thinking. Among varied factors that are answerable for acne episodes, milk is adding on to the list. Milk is a reason for acne in assorted ways.

Milk has a high share of male hormones which are more widely known as androgens. These androgens are known to send the sebaceous glands in an overdrive mode which in turn secret sebum in big quantities and ends in associated acne episodes. Milk also raises the insulin levels in the body which can in turn trigger acne flare ups.

So now you know the effect of milk on acne, it is advised to restrict the consumption of milk while you are nursing your acne condition. Or you can try and go in for a testing period as it’s not necessary that milk will always have unfavourable effect on your acne.
