Helping My Sister Honor a Loved One

My sister called me the other day in a panic. Her boss recently passed away and his wife asked if she would deliver the eulogy. My sister has often talked about his love of poetry so I suggested she read a poem rather than do a traditional speech or tribute. There are plenty of poems written with this purpose in mind or she can choose a favorite of his, even if the theme is not death. She wants to know when to use a funeral poem and I suggested she just ask the wife of her boss. If the wife is not comfortable with this method, then she can do a speech.
